Keeping it Local with the help
of our Local Fire Fighters
Sponsors and Customers
It all started in 1995 when we sponsored 1 family for Christmas. The first year we only had a few people
that were from local car clubs that were involved. It was an amazing feeling being able to help a family
that would not have had anything without our help. It was so touching that the following year we decided
to sponsor 5 families and use the proceeds from the Car Show to help. That went over so well that the
following year we decided to team up with the Toys for Tots Foundation. That is also when we started
having Bike Shows that benefited the kids as well. It Quickly grew over the next few years getting bigger
every year. We started getting sponsors to cover the costs of  the shows so that all the money raised
would go to Toys For Tots. In 2004 we became the largest independent donator to Toys For Tots in the
state of Florida with a cash donation of 17,700.00 and over 5000 toys. We held that spot until 2007
when we became the largest independent donator in the Country with a donation of $37,700.00 in cash
and over 10,000 toys. We held that honor until 2010 when we decided to team up with the Lealman,
Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg Fire Departments in an effort to keep all the money and toys in
Pinellas County. We called it Biff’s Kids for Pinellas. The first year was a huge success raising over
$34,000 cash and over 10,000 toys. With the help of Jim from Lealman and Keith from Pinellas Park we
were able to distribute all the toys and money to over 268 local families and over 5000 kids.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN!
First let me say that the success of the Biff’s Kids Program would not be possible without the continued support of our great
sponsors and volunteers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that had a hand in helping in anyway during the
2012 Biff’s Kids Campaign.
Biff’s Kids started a little earlier this year raising money and collecting gift cards for the older kids with a Biff’s Kids for Teens Bike
Show  on Aug 25th, 2012 and Car Show on Sept. 7th,2012. Both were big success earning over $2,000.00 and $470 in gift cards. Our
next event was the 2nd Annual Veteran Poker Run held on Sunday Nov. 4th, 2012. We had over 200 riders and raised $11,500.00 for
Veteran and active Military Families. The money was raised specifically to help the family’s from the MacDill and Bay Pines family
Services that were in need during the Christmas holiday. The money bought 53 dinners (Enough food for a family of 6) for
Thanksgiving and 60 dinners for Christmas. The rest was used to buy presents and bicycles for 35 Veteran families and a total of 97
kids that would not of had a Christmas otherwise. In November and December we did several 50/50 raffles and collected toys on the
bike and car nights with our Biff’s Kids partners, The Lealman and Pinellas Park Fire Departments. Both Departments are a huge
part of the success of the Biff’s Kids program and are instrumental in the screening of all the families that are chosen for
assistance. Because of the Fire Departments, we now have a computer program that is linked with the other charities so that people
cannot get assistance from more than one organization which has been a major problem in the past. The 50/50’s added up to
$3,500.00. On Sunday Dec. 2nd we held our 18th Annual Car Show. We had 110 registered cars, raised $17,500.00 and collected over
1,000 toys at this event. The following Saturday Dec. 8th, it was the biker’s turn. It was our 16th Annual Bike Show. The total
registered was a little light at just 55 bikes but the crowd was there and ready to support the cause. We raised $19,500.00 and over a
1,000 more toys at this event. In the next couple of weeks, we continued to collect toys and money bringing our totals including
what the Fire Departments brought in at just short of $55,000.00 and about 18,000 toys. If you figure the average price of a toy at
just $10.00, that equates to $180,000.00 in toys. WOW!!! The total brought in would then be $235,000.00 smashing previous records.
On Wed Dec. 19th and Friday Dec 21st we held a family fun night with Santa and Mrs. Clause handing out presents to every child
that came out. On Saturday Dec. 22nd we began the long process of delivering the toys and meals to the familys. The Pinellas Park
Fire Dept. gave out 37 Christmas meals and sponsored 123 families. In addition to the Veteran families Biff Burger also sponsored
18 more families with a total of 44 more kids. We tried to sponsor families with older kids that would not normally get picked up for
Christmas. They shopped and wrapped Christmas gifts for 608 kids.  Working with the Lealman Fire department, we did 109
Families, 268 children and 109 xmas dinners and 68 Thanksgiving dinners, plus we gave out thousands of gifts at the section 8
housing we go to after our deliveries were completed.
